The Gregarios Superclub Ciclista
Where?
Catering for cyclists in the London area; West London, North West London, Watford, Bushey, Herts, Middlesex and also way beyond.... we have a number of members that live in different parts of the country and just want to be part of The Gregarios Superclub Ciclista’s road cycling fraternity.
Our Sunday Club Run starts in Bushey near Watford with quick access to the countryside. We’ve been having so much fun we just can’t remember when The Gregarios Superclub Ciclista was actually born, but it must have been in the mid to late 1980’s... lets say ’89 to be safe!
So what’s a Gregario?
“Gregario” is the Italian version of the French “domestiques”… those gutsy guys that protect the star riders in the Italian racing teams; riding into the wind, carrying spare bottles, and sacrificing their efforts for the good of their team leader. We just loved the concept and thought we’d start a cycling club based around that. More>>>
The Italian connection
Another factor to our cycling club is we’re all devotees of Italian food, wine, and coffee. In fact we aspire to most things Italian; style, flair, slickness. Right now we’re still aspiring!
Small groups make regular excursions to the spiritual homeland to sample how life should be, and we even find time to get a few miles in.
On the same theme we’re proud to have as our honorary member of our cycling club none other than former World numero uno Mr Paolo Bettini who has represented us and his sponsor Quickstep admirably on the world stage. In addition to Paolo our other honorary member is Diego Ulissi a young rider from Tuscany who we’ll all be hearing a lot more of over the years.
Style or performance?
The Gregarios are not seduced by the worship of results-oriented performance. Style must never be compromised, either while riding, or "après-bike". Once you have worn the Gregarios jersey and shorts, styled by some of the most famous fashion designers in the London area, you will understand our passion for being the best in this fast-changing arena. Our distinctive team blue or “azzurro” is the exact shade of the Italian road team jersey of the year when we formed. The Italian national cycling team always wear blue - and so do The Gregarios! On the road The Blue Train is an inspiring sight - so why not climb into the team strip and jump aboard!
Remember the club motto -
You are only as good as your last race performance, but style lives forever. The only club rule is “there are no rules” - and definitely no committees!
Who’s in the club? -
Well it’s a complete cross-section of humanity from all walks of life, and all with a common bond - the love of riding a road bike.
Riding on your own, thinking about joining a Cycling Club?
Good idea! I mean come on, what’s so great about riding on your own? You’re very welcome to join us for a few rides to see if you’d like to be part of “The Blue Train”. Fancy having a crack at racing, or the challenge of a few Sportives?... other good reasons to join The Gregarios Superclub Ciclista and do it as a team.

Membership
Membership for your first year is *£25 and reduced after 1st September. Subsequent membership renewal is £15 per year. * Includes £10 rebate on purchase of your first team top.
Currently joining The Gregarios entitles you to FREE Bronze Membership of British Cycling worth £13. This can be upgraded to Silver or Gold membership with a £13 discount.
